Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope and principles

You agree to use Cowculator lawfully, in good faith, and without harm to others or our infrastructure. This Policy covers all parts of the service, including public calculators, widgets, APIs, and integrations.

2. Prohibited content and activities

• Illegal content or activity that violates laws or third‑party rights (including intellectual property).
• Hate speech, harassment, discrimination, incitement to violence or self‑harm.
• Malicious code, phishing, fraud, social engineering, distribution of malware.
• Deceiving end‑users about the purpose of data collection or making false claims about products/services.
• Collecting or processing special categories of data (health, biometrics, religion, etc.) without a lawful basis and additional safeguards.
• Collecting children’s data or targeting individuals under 18.
• Pornography, exploitation, sexual content involving minors.
• Illegal trafficking of weapons, drugs, hazardous substances, or instructions for their production.

3. Data, privacy, and consent

• You are the controller for data collected via your public calculators. Ensure a valid legal basis (consent, contract, etc.) and clear notices to users.
• Display a link to your Privacy Policy in the form and, where required, use an explicit consent checkbox.
• Do not use data for purposes unrelated to the original collection and do not share with third parties without a lawful basis.
• Respect cookie/consent settings (opt‑in) and the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

4. Platform integrity

• Do not attempt to bypass limits or security mechanisms; do not conduct unauthorized testing.
• DDoS, large‑scale automated requests, and exploiting vulnerabilities without responsible disclosure are prohibited.
• Responsible disclosure is allowed: email your report to sec@cowculator.app and wait for acknowledgement before any public disclosure.

5. Email/SMS/messages

• No spam: obtain prior consent and provide an easy unsubscribe mechanism.
• Do not mask the sender or use spoofed domains or headers.
• Messages must comply with laws applicable in your jurisdiction (e.g., commercial email requirements).

6. Minors

The service is not intended for individuals under 18. Do not collect children’s data or target minors without a proper legal basis and verified parental/guardian consent mechanisms.

7. Sensitive categories and high risk

• Medical/financial guidance: clear disclaimers (“not professional advice”) are required, with strict accuracy checks and legal compliance.
• Processing special categories of data is allowed only with lawful bases and additional safeguards.
• It is prohibited to use the service for tracking, discrimination, or causing harm to individuals or groups.

8. Scraping & bots

• Do not exceed reasonable request rates.
• Bots that create fake accounts or submissions are prohibited.

9. Use of AI

• Do not use AI features to produce deceptive, illegal, or harmful content.
• Label AI‑generated content where required by law or the policies of your platform.
• You are responsible for verifying AI outputs before use.

10. Limits and fair use

• We may impose limits on traffic volume and number of form submissions.
• Exceeding limits may lead to temporary feature restrictions or a prompt to upgrade to a higher plan.

11. Enforcement and consequences

• We may remove or block content that violates this Policy and temporarily restrict or terminate access.
• In the event of serious violations, we may notify competent authorities or affected third parties.
• The user is liable for damages caused by violations of this Policy or applicable law.

12. How to report a violation

Email sec@cowculator.app and include: the page/widget URL, a description of the violation, your contact details for follow‑up, and a good‑faith statement.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this AUP. We will notify you of material changes via the service or by email. The date above shows the last update.
